by Asia Insider

Vietnam is recognized for its low crime rate, political stability, and safe environment.

Recently, Best Diplomats ranked Vietnam 8th among the 10 safest countries in Asia. The editorial team of the New York-based international organization was particularly impressed by Vietnam’s diverse landscapes, rich culture, and attractive cuisine.

This year, Vietnam’s peace index reached 1.745 points. The crime index stood at 41.8 points, and the safety index was 58.2 points. These figures have increasingly affirmed Vietnam’s position in the region and the world.

One of the safest and most famous places to visit in Vietnam is Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its limestone islands and emerald waters.

“Ha Long Bay is a popular destination for cruises and kayaking,” Best Diplomats wrote.

Another safe and popular destination is Hoi An, an ancient town renowned for its architecture, colorful lanterns, and cuisine. Hoi An’s compact size makes it an ideal and easy destination to explore on foot.

Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, is also considered an attractive destination, as suggested by Best Diplomats.

Topping the list of the 10 safest countries in Asia is Singapore, with a peace index of 1.332, a crime index of just 23, and a safety index of 77.
