In the first 9 months of this year, visitors to Binh Dinh to visit and relax increased dramatically. Tourists mainly come from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Highlands provinces and the Northern region.
Tourism revenue reached nearly 11,600 billion VND
Talking to Zing, Mr. Tran Van Thanh, director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, said that in the past 9 months, about 3.5 million visitors came to the locality to visit and relax (an increase of more than 200% compared to the same period last year).
“On the occasion of National Day on September 2, Binh Dinh is in the top three localities attracting tourists across the country, just behind Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Revenue from tourism activities in the province has increased strongly with tourism revenue in the first 9 months of the year reaching nearly 11,600 billion VND, an increase of more than 617% compared to the same period in 2021”, Mr. Thanh said.
According to the leader of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, in order to achieve this growth, the locality has stepped up tourism promotion through many events such as the final of Miss World Vietnam and other activities. Sea tourism festival with the theme “Quy Nhon – Sea paradise”.

Commenting on the growth rate of Binh Dinh’s tourism industry, Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the General Department of Tourism, assessed this locality as a “rising star” in the tourist map of Vietnam with many scenic coastal town of Quy Nhon, Ky Co, Eo Gio, Hon Kho, Trung Luong picnic area, Hai Giang peninsula…
“Binh Dinh needs to clarify core and unique values, connect infrastructure with new destinations to create favorable conditions for investors to come to the northern regions. These localities need to link up, applying promotion technology, creating the key to open the investment flow and attract tourists to this land,” said Mr. Sieu.
This expert is optimistic about the advantages of geographical location, natural conditions, socio-economic-cultural environment and the attractiveness of new investment resources, Quy Nhon is facing the opportunity to become the leading resort center in Asia.

From the end of 2021, Binh Dinh has been one of the localities ready to become an attractive tourist destination for both domestic and international tourists.
Dr. Tran Dinh Thien, Former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, a member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Group, added that making Quy Nhon a world-class tourist destination Asia’s leading is workable.
In particular, Binh Dinh is oriented to form an artificial intelligence center, where thousands of experts and scientists from other countries regularly gather. On the other hand, this locality possesses many advantages in terms of nature, culture, history and should be exploited to introduce to domestic and international tourists.
