Accordingly, the number of searches about Ho Chi Minh City tourism increased by 46% this fall compared to the same period in 2019, data from the US online travel agency and search engine Kayak provided.
In addition, the Expedia platform (USA) also showed a 630% growth in searches about Ho Chi Minh City compared to last fall.
The magazine says that after a peak summer and temperatures starting to cool, fall is emerging as the best time of year to go on vacation. Especially for American tourists, who are eager to go abroad.
Ms. Christie Hudson, the representative of Expedia, said: “Places like Ho Chi Minh City and Munich have skyrocketed in searches. It used to be difficult for tourists to access these places due to travel restrictions because of the epidemic, and testing requirements. Currently, these destinations have returned to the tourist track with low costs and many incentives, so tourists are interested.”
According to Ms. Christie, Ho Chi Minh City is currently in the affordable tourist season. Furthermore, the city has the advantage of year-round warm weather. From September, the rainfall in Ho Chi Minh City also decreases gradually, convenient for tourists to visit famous landmarks such as Cu Chi Tunnels, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market, etc.
“Ho Chi Minh City tourism in the fall has a good price, tourists will prioritize long stays here. I used to find 5-star hotels with prices from 50 USD/night in September-October”, Ms. Christie expressed.
In addition, destinations in Asia also receive great attention and search when entering the autumn. According to data from the booking platform Priceline, the number of searches for flights to Asia this fall has quadrupled compared to last year.
