The Indonesian Law and Human Rights Ministry Directorate General of Immigration has reintroduced the visa on arrival option for tourists from Vietnam and 22 others countries, arriving in Bali as of March 7.
You can now come to Bali without all the hassle related to travel restrictions! That is, if you’re a citizen of one of two dozen countries on the list. For now, at least.
This policy can only be obtained by tourists who enter Indonesia through Bali’s airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai immigration facility. International tourists arriving through this airport are permitted to travel to other Indonesian regions.

In a written statement on March 6, spokesperson of the directorate general Achmad Nur Saleh announced requirements to obtain the special visa include a six-month minimum valid passport, a return flight ticket or to continue to another country, and health documents required under the COVID-19 task force policy.
The tariff for this special tourist visa on arrival is IDR500,000 IDR (about US$35) and is valid for a maximum of 30 days of stay and can be extended only once.
In Vietnam, the country is slated to resume pre-pandemic bilateral and unilateral visa exemption policies for foreigners when the country fully reopens international tourism on March 15, 2022.
In the regular press briefing held virtually on March 03 in Vietnam capital city of Hanoi, when being asked about updates to visa policies after two years of disruptions caused by COVID-19, the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that, all foreigners and Vietnamese nationals permanently residing abroad, along with their families, can enter the country with valid entry documents, as per the regulations on entry, exit, transiting through and residing in the country.
Foreigners wishing to enter the country for tourism will, for now, adhere to the regulations by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the spokesperson added.

Vietnam on Tuesday confirmed a record 162,435 new COVID-19 infections, taking the national caseload to 4,776,873 since the start of the pandemic, the Health ministry reported.
The capital city of Hanoi continued to have the highest number of new COVID cases with 32,650.
Twenty of the new nationwide transmissions were imported and the remaining domestic. The new cases were reported in 62 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country. A total of 104,353 infections were detected in the community.
