TIANJIN, China, June 29, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Yuki Wei, Vice President of TCL Technology and Chairman of the TCL Charity Foundation, spoke at a roundtable discussion titled "Restoring the Natural Ecosystem" on June 27, as part of the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions of the World Economic Forum, also known as "2023 Summer Davos Forum". During the session, she shared her personal thoughts and TCL’s corporate perspectives and practices on green and sustainable development.
Over the past 50 years, with human exploitation of natural resources exceeding the Earth’s capacity for self-restoration, the average number of wild animals has decreased by 69%, posing significant challenges to the environment. On this front, Wei stated that the path to symbiosis between humans and nature should be guided by technological innovation and leadership.
As a global technology company, TCL adheres to the mission of "Leading Technology, Harmonious Coexistence" in its development and is committed to fostering green development within the tech manufacturing industry. In 2022, TCL launched TCLGreen, a global initiative aimed at supporting a more sustainable planet for all. The campaign calls on people from all walks of life to participate in the cause of green and sustainable growth, creating a green future together.
"Ecological restoration is a long-term and complex process," said Wei. "We at TCL are dedicated to sustainable development and environmental protection and have been actively participating in ecological restoration by way of innovative technologies, green product design, and sustainable resource management. With stronger global partnerships, advances in technology, and increased public awareness, I’m confident in the future of our Earth."
