On July 10, the Da Nang City Department of Tourism announced that it had organized a tourism promotion program in Seoul, South Korea.
The program introduced and updated information about new and unique tourism products while creating opportunities for tourism businesses in Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien Hue to expand and connect with partners in South Korea.
Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, stated that Korean tourists to Da Nang showed impressive growth in the first half of the year.
“In the first six months of the year, the total number of Korean tourists staying in Da Nang reached nearly 823,000, accounting for more than 41% of the total international tourists to Da Nang. This figure has reached last year’s total of 935,000 Korean tourists in Da Nang and nearly 50% of the total number of Korean tourists in 2019, the peak period of Da Nang tourism,” Mr. Cuong said.
