Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang Province, Vietnam, has been honored as one of the 10 most affordable tropical destinations in the world, according to travel experts from the American magazine Travel+Leisure.
Although reaching Phu Quoc requires connecting flights, which lead to higher airfare costs compared to most other destinations on the list, this should not deter visitors from exploring this paradise island, Travel+Leisure noted.
The American magazine revealed that rooms at one of the highest-rated hotels in Phu Quoc start at $75.

Travel+Leisure also shared that the night markets in Duong Dong are filled with delicious and cheap food, while sunbathing on the white sandy beaches and hiking through Phu Quoc National Park are free activities to enjoy.
Merida, the capital of Yucatan state in Mexico, tops the list, followed by Bali in Indonesia; Negril in Jamaica; and Phu Quoc in Vietnam.
Beautiful landscapes, reasonable prices, and the opportunity to take stunning photos are the top factors in evaluating this list of affordable tropical destinations, Travel+Leisure reported.
