Accordingly, Hoi An (Vietnam) has a crime rate of 6.25, much lower than Lima (Peru), which has the highest crime rate at 84.51.
“You don’t have to worry about pickpocketing, assault, kidnapping, or harm during your trip. Hoi An is one of those destinations,” emphasized Smoky Mountains.
Additionally, Hoi An is also considered one of the cheapest travel destinations in Asia with an average cost for a tourist below 800 USD per month.
Kyoto (Japan) is the next safe destination with a crime rate of 9.84. When compared to Hoi An, Smoky Mountains suggests that Kyoto is more likely to be attacked, while Hoi An is more prone to theft.
Another safe destination is Santa Barbara (USA), also on the list of the safest places in the world with a crime rate of 12.24. The issue of homelessness in Santa Barbara is also significantly less compared to its neighboring city of San Francisco. Munich (Germany) has a crime rate of 15.71. This location is also considered one of the friendliest tourist destinations in Europe.
Other destinations named on the list include Ljubljana (Slovenia), Madeira (Portugal), Queenstown (New Zealand), Naples (USA), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Prague (Czech Republic).
