According to the Quang Nam Tourism Promotion Center, the experience of riding a bamboo basket boat in Hoi An has been listed among the 25 most beloved boat experiences in the world.
This result was announced by Tripadvisor, the world’s leading travel review organization, as part of its annual Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Things to Do awards.
Accordingly, the bamboo basket boat experience in the Cam Thanh coconut forest, Hoi An city, ranks 19th in the Top 25 most attractive boat experiences for global tourists in 2024.
Participating in this experience, tourists will sit in a basket boat, enjoying the fresh air of a rural area, away from urban hustle. The boat rowers will take you drifting on the water, weaving through the lush green coconut groves, sharing stories about the history of the area. Along the way, tourists are also taught how to make lovely items from coconut leaves, watch basket boat dancing, participate in boat races, learn how to cast fishing nets, and listen to traditional Quang folk songs.
