The People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province has just issued Decision No. 1061/QĐ-UBND dated June 21, 2024, recognizing the “Da Lat Railway Station” as a tourist destination.
Accordingly, the Vietnam Railway Corporation is responsible for fully complying with the provisions of the Tourism Law and relevant legal regulations in the process of managing and operating tourism at the “Da Lat Railway Station” tourist destination.
The structure features a symmetrical layout, with the central architectural block simulating the three peaks of Langbiang Mountain and the Central Highlands’ communal houses; the two sides extend with long architectural blocks. Overall, the architecture harmonizes with nature and serves as a unique urban highlight.
Da Lat Railway Station was built between 1932 and 1938, at an altitude of over 1500 meters above sea level. It is the only railway station in the Central Highlands region and is considered the most beautiful ancient train station in Vietnam and Indochina, with architecture rich in local character.

The station has become a source of pride for the locals and is a must-check-in spot for visitors to Da Lat.
Currently, Da Lat Railway Station is no longer used for transportation but serves as an attractive tourist attraction in the city of a thousand flowers. The only railway line it still operates is the 7 km route from Da Lat to Trai Mat, taking visitors to Linh Phuoc Pagoda. With a rather slow speed of only 15 km/h, the train allows tourists to enjoy the beauty of Da Lat city fully.
This place is not only a daytime attraction but also a nighttime draw. With the night train journey called “Da Lat Night Journey,” departing from 18:15 to 21:20 daily, visitors can enjoy the mystical nighttime beauty of Da Lat. The night train, beautifully decorated as if stepping out of a fairy tale, delights many tourists who love to ‘live virtually’ here. Joining this night train journey, in addition to experiencing the night scenery, tourists can also enjoy music and dinner upon request.
